Creedence Clearwater revival – Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) Album Review

I put a spell on you: 10/10

One of my favorite CCR songs, albeit a cover. Love the tone, vocals, and guitar in this song. Incredible melody, fantastic.

The working man: 8/10

Beginning of the song had me a little iffy, but god it got real fantastic towards the middle. Guitar going crazy in this song, I love it.

Susie Q: 7.5/10

Its good based off what I heard from it in the past, but damn it I will not listen to the 8 fucking minutes this song requires of me, its Susie Q, it wont change, and it has like 4 variations of lyric.

Ninety Nine and a Half: 10/10

This song is fun, I love it. Vocals are fire as well, love the melody here, one of the best from this album. Love that little drum solo section, caught me off guard, but in the fun way.

Get down woman: 9/10

Fire name lmao. Love this song, the piano is an incredible touch, melody (buzzword) is great here as well, not my favorite of the album, but still amazing. Also HOLY ENDING! So fire!

Porterville: 8/10

I like this one, its a good time and I can't hate. In comparison to some other songs on this album its a weaker one, but it is still great.

Gloomy: 8/10

Slower song, obviously, cause its named gloomy. Not a downright hater of this song, its not bad, but I prefer other songs on this album more, the fun fast pace type yk? I do like how it switches up towards the lower half, and gets that fun, quick fast pace music for a bit.

Walk on the Water: 8/10

I do like this one, but I find it to be a little unmemorable, with prolonged periods of repetitively. Not a bad song, but the vocals end way to soon, and we're left with 2 minutes of a bit of nothing.

Album Verdict: 8.6/10

Great starting album for CCR, no song here is truly bad, was a great time listening to it.

Willy And The Poor Boys – Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) Album Review

10/10 Down On The Corner

I absolutely love this track, it is an incredible opener to a great album. Love the flow, the fun beat, overall just love the whole song, one of CCR's greatest.

9/10 It Came Out Of The Sky

So groovy, I love it! A fantastic track, fun fast paced song, album really cannot miss! Solo is fun as well.

9/10 Cotton Fields

Its a very nice song, catch it getting stuck in my head time to time. Its so smooth and fun, and a great song off this album.

Poorboy shuffle: 7/10

That harmonica tho 👀 Idk about this song, legit like no lyrics. Idk. More confused than anything, maybe its js filler.

Feelin' Blue: 9/10

I love the slower pacing here, really catchy, the guitar line is great. I think its really good, great ccr song.

Fortunate Son: 10/10

No CCR, besides maybe "have you ever seen the rain" could be as iconic as this one. I know this song from the back of my hand. Incredible song that is highly misunderstood by idiots. Great meaning in this song.

Don't look Now: 10/10

I absolutely love the vibe of this song, gives off riding a log through a swamp vibes and I can't explain it. The track is pretty underrated, and I think it's absolutely fantastic!

The Midnight Special: 10/10

Pretty slow start but it does get to it eventually, and Man is it a good, great song in my opinion, I love the flow.

Side O' The Road: 9/10

I love the guitar in this one, Stu soaring on bass, great time, great flow, not a lot in terms of vocals but hey, it's still great.

Effigy: 10/10

I love the slow beat here, real good closer. The band works so well together on this track. Ofc they work well on all tracks , but this song has such a good vibe. The guitar solo around the 2 minute part really tickles the little lump in my head called a brain.

Album Verdict: 9.3/10

Absolutley fantastic album, no complaints, almost every song is near perfect, an iconic album, as well as iconic CCR album.

Mardi Gras – Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) Album Review

7/10 Lookin' For A Reason

Its an alright song, not exactly an incredible start to this album, but hey, at least it isnt bad.

6/10 Take It Like a Friend

I expected more of my goat Stu on vocals, but to be honest his vocals are just kinda.. bad. Instrumental lowk good, I like how it sounds, but the vocals honestly throwing me off. They also have a weird echo.

9/10 Need Someone to Hold

This song is honestly really good, Clifford is an excellent vocalist, production is great, guitar, bass, drums, all really good. One of my favorites off of this album.

8.5/10 Tearin' Up the Country

Very fun, fast paced, reminds me of folk and some country. Very fun time, Clifford once again spitting FIRE on the beat.

10/10 Someday Never Comes

Genuinely a fantastic song, I love the sound so much, lyrics, vocals, and the combination of all the instruments on this song. My favorite off this album, really great. Incredible performance by Fogerty.

10/10 What Are You Gonna Do

Clifford performance is incredible on this song, I love the guitar on this song, fun, fast pace. A great song, one of the best songs on this album.

7/10 Sail Away

The sound on this song is different, I like it. Stu's vocals are better than the last, scared at the start, but its alright. Its a nice song, Stu's vocals are alright, not my favorite on the album, but hey, I dont hate it.

8/10 Hello Mary Lou

I like its sound, instruments specifically. Conflicted on the vocal effects, the echo is strange, but I kinda like it? Great song though.

8.5/10 Door to Door

I like this one a lot, Stu's vocals work well for this one. It sounds great, love the instruments on it. In terms of this album, this is Stu's best vocal performance. I love the effects on Stu's voice as well. A very nice sounding song, me likey.

9/10 Sweet Hitch-Hiker

I love this one so much, definitely the fast pace Creedence I love. Fogerty, again, fantastic performance, guitar sounds great on this one, one of the best on this album.

Album Verdict: 8.3/10

I like this album. Some of it could have been better, it shows that the band was going through some conflict. I like some of the other members' performances, Clifford did fantastic. Good album, but not the best Creedence has put out.

Doug "Cosmo" Clifford – Album Review

10/10 Latin music

Love the composition, singings great, trumpets are a fantastic touch

10/10 Regret It

Love the composiotions, the chorous backing track, great song, not the hugest fan of the "Bow bow" over and over in the background, but still a fantastic song.

8/10 Guitars, Drums and girlds

Its a pretty good song, not my favorite off the album but still a good pick.

10/10 I'm A man

Lot of creedence vibes here, like the funky pacing and guitar, again the trumpets are fantastic, the production and composition is great.

9/10 She's About A Mover

The trumpets on this album are unmatched, so funky and i love it. Production, again is great, the vocals match the funkiness well.

10/10 I just want to cry

One of my favorites off this album, its a nice slower song, which in this case I do like a lot. I can't shut up about those trumpets, its so good.

8.5/10 Get your raise

Very similar to the last one, although its not as good, piano is good, has that funkiness seen in the other songs. Good, but not as good as the rest.

8.5/10 Daydream

Not as memorable, vocals are a little strange compared to the others. It lacks some of the elements that made the others so great. Won't deny it is pretty good though.

9/10 Take a train

It feels like its a part of the spongebob soundtrack, I like it. very memorable, vocals are different than the others, but in a really good way.

10/10 Death machine

For a song called death machine, doesnt feel deathy. I'll let it slide, cause its a really fun, fast paced song. Its very memorable as well, has some some creedence like elements.

9/10 Swinging in a hammock

I happen to like this one a lot, the chorus singing in some parts are a great element, very funky bass, I love it.

Album Verdict: 9/10

I love the compesition so much, extremley underated, a fantastic piece of work.
